Patna –ย Patna’s startup company Vaimanika Aerospace, working in the field of drones, has got ‘Type’ license. This license has been received by the startup company from the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The startup company was trying for this license for the last one year. After getting the license, now the company will be able to operate commercial operations in any part of the country including Bihar. Manish Dixit, founder of Vaimanika Aerospace, says that the company had applied for the license for the last one year. This license has been issued in view of the technical efficiency of the company. He claims that this license is the first license to be given to a startup company in eastern India.
Will be able to do business work:
After getting the type license from DGCA, the company will be able to carry out many types of business work. Now the company will be able to independently spray chemicals in the fields through drones. Till now the company was doing this work in collaboration with other type licensed companies. Apart from this, many other business works including the help of e-commerce platform will be possible using drones. The company operator says that after this license, the company can also find a market for its drone abroad. Let us tell you that the startup is preparing many types of drones. Among these, there is a lot of demand for drones used for agricultural work. The company has made more than two hundred drones so far. The delivery drone prepared by the company will be able to deliver a thing weighing one and a half kilograms up to 80 kilometers.
Joined the hundred crore club:
Within about two years of establishment, the startup of Bihar (Patna) had joined the country’s hundred crore club. The startup founder says that after the establishment of the company, the valuation (price) of the company has increased to more than Rs 150 crore. In the financial year 2023-24, the company received an order of Rs 44 crore. Vimanika Aerospace has received the Best Startup of the Year award in the Bihar Startup Award 2024. This is the first startup in the country which is doing research on operating drones with hydrogen gas instead of batteries. This startup of the capital is now preparing to enter the stock market.
Providing services in nine states:
The company is providing drone-related services in nine states outside Bihar. These include Himachal Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Odisha, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Kerala, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh. The company founder said that in the coming few months, the company is working on a plan to expand outside the country as well. Among these, he has a keen eye on the markets of Europe, Russia and America. Apart from drone taxis, the company will also work in areas like surveillance drones, defense drones etc.
